The 25th annual Best of Our State event January 3-5, 2025, at the Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville, North Carolina.
Celebrate North Carolina with Our State as the magazine “comes to life” with music, history, humor, storytelling, art, and food at the Omni Grove Park Inn. The Best of Our State is a lively weekend of learning and luxury designed to rejuvenate the senses to begin the new year.

Beautiful setting for a fine group of musicians. Couldn’t have written a better set list albeit show was a bit shorter than anticipated. Can’t wait til next chance to see my favorite band take the stage!

Balsam Range Biography
Based in Haywood County, North Carolina, Balsam Range consists of five men native to this region “where the Smokies meet the Blue Ridge.”
Bluegrass says a lot of what this band is about, but equally important are the aspects of Gospel and Country Music. All the guys in the band grew up in the rich musical heritage of the Appalachian South, surrounded by culture and heritage steeped in traditions of The Grand Ole Opry…as well as the important influences of the Scotch-Irish settlers of the Southern Mountains, English ballads, Western songs…and tunes written by the band members themselves.
