Troubadour77 Biography
Monty Powell and Anna Wilson are a veteran music business couple that make up the popular Americana duo Troubadour 77. Collectively, Wilson and Powell have written a dozen #1 songs for superstars like Keith Urban, Tim McGraw, Reba, Brooks & Dunn and more. Together they share numerous album cuts featured on over 70 million records, have co-produced unique projects that pay tribute to the Eagles, Billy Joel, the Countrypolitan era of music, and penned the international theme song for Habitat for Humanity.
Their compelling performances are rich with raw and honest emotion, and their songs sing of social change, life, death, love, and redemption that play like musical love letters to their influences, the troubadours of the famous Laurel Canyon era. Their current release “Revolution & Redemption” dives even deeper into the roots of the folk-rock movement celebrating the tradition of the American troubadour.
These storytellers are carrying the torch forward for modern audiences who crave a musical journey that will make you laugh, cry, stop and think, and celebrate the power of a song!
