GLLXY

A melodic reinterpretation of varying styles of dance music — including trance, electro, dubstep, breakbeat, and more — GLLXY is the stage name for Jacksonville, Florida resident TJ Willson. The GLLXY alias was conceptualized in 2015 as a project to utilize storytelling through music, visual art, clothing, and other mediums to help eliminate the stigma behind mental illness. GLLXY strives to build immersive worlds rooted in fantasy and science fiction; a safe space to address important topics like depression, sexuality, and abuse. They aim to help those who are struggling to find a place where they are understood and accepted for who they are.

GLLXY’s sound has been frequently compared to big names like Porter Robinson, Rezz, and deadmau5, while still receiving critical acclaim for their unique melodic style and composition. GLLXY has received support from industry icons like Gabriel & Dresden, Koven, Laura Brehm, and Synchronice, among others. GLLXY's debut single Enter the Rift generated waves among smaller underground communities, appearing on blogs and artist-curated playlists. Among a handful of other singles, they also released a 6-track EP, HER, exploring more intimate indie and ambient sub-genres.
