Chasing Deer Biography
Chasing Deer, the alias of London-based singer-songwriter Rob Hodkinson, crafts mood-boosting pop/rock music to make you feel alive.
With over 2,000 live performances to his credit, Chasing Deer has graced the stages of some of the world’s most prestigious events, including The Royal Albert Hall, The Houses Of Parliament, Trafalgar Square, The London Marathon, The NME Awards, Pride In London, Royal Ascot, Henley Regatta and even singing in Swahili for the President of Kenya! His award-winning performances are characterised by their energy, style, and pure fun.
Drawing inspiration from renowned artists like Elton John, Coldplay and Brandon Flowers, Chasing Deer’s original music blends contemporary pop nostalgia with an indie/rock attitude.
The latest album, ‘Diamonds In The Rafters’, explores the theme of seizing the day and embracing life’s wild and wonderful experiences. The critically acclaimed songs have been featured on BBC Radio 2, BBC Introducing, and Amazing Radio, and even made an appearance as the opening jingle on Matt Lucas’ Radio 2 show.
Chasing Deer’s television appearances include interviews on Sky News, Sky Arts, BBC Two, and London Live, where he discussed his sold-out album launch shows and his innovative approach to promoting accessibility in music.
Fresh from his travels across the USA, Caribbean, and South America, Rob was invited to showcase 'Diamonds In The Rafters’ aboard MS The World, the largest private residential yacht on Earth.
