Filling in for the NCCU music department's Eagle's Nest Jazz Jam, Al Strong taps some of the area's best players to lead jam sessions at Missy Lanes. General admission is $10 and free to participating musicians! Grab your tickets today and come to experience a Durham-Styled hang like no other. Al Strong Music Biography

Trumpeter. Arranger. Band leader. Al Strong is an award-winning trumpet player, composer, recording artist and educator. A cultural innovator, he is the co-founder of the Art of Cool Project, which spawned the original Art of Cool Music Festival in Durham, N.C. and the stArt of Cool youth summer camp.
