Archetype X

Archetype X hails from Barcelona, Spain, delivering a fusion of melodic death metal and metalcore that draws inspiration from an array of subgenres including black metal, progressive metal, neo-classical, and djent.

Formed in 2018, the band initially comprised vocalist Lizkiller Queen, drummer Mark Segarra, guitarist Lluis Puigvert, and bassist Niv Ben-Yosef. Together, they released the powerful four-song EP, 'The Collective Unconscious.'

In 2021, guitarist Jordi Monfulleda joined the ranks, elevating Archetype X to a five-piece powerhouse. With this strengthened lineup, the band unleashed their debut full-length album, 'Regression,' in November 2022.

Following further lineup adjustments in 2023, which saw the departure of founding members Lizkiller Queen and Mark Segarra, Archetype X solidified its definitive roster with the addition of drummer Adrià Arnal and vocalist Toni González.

As of late 2023, the band has been tirelessly crafting their new sound and trajectory, culminating in their upcoming release, 'Loathe.' Set to drop worldwide on April 16th, 2024, 'Loathe' embodies the culmination of Archetype X's evolution over the years. This release promises to deliver their most raw, aggressive, and forward-thinking music to date.
