About this concert
La Sécurité (Montréal/Tiohtià:ke) is a collective whose art punk is equal parts: jumpy beats, off-kilter arrangements, and minimalistic melodic hooks. After years of writing earworms for the pleasure of beautiful weirdos, all the while strutting their style on tour with their many different projects (Choses Sauvages, Laurence-Anne, Silver Dapple, etc.), the motley bunch now meanders the fringes of punk, new wave and krautrock.
Rénovations are an electro-grunge band, crossing the line back and forth between head banging and dancing. Often assimilated to bands like Garbage and Enter Shikari and Shaka Ponk.

Rénovations Biography
he band formed in October 2019 and started writing during the first lockdown. Inspired by Brexit, Self Isolation, the media and social distancing, they have produced and recorded six singles, one EP titled I Feel No Pain (2021), their debut album Break The Frame (2022) and sophomore album Blank (2023). These releases were written and performed by Gian, Ioana and Charlotte Pulcino (vocals and bass), who fronted the band from 2019-2023.
The band received funding from Help Musicians, to help record Blank, which was released on 10th June 2023.
Both Jim Gellatly (Amazing Radio) and Phoebe Inglis-Holmes (BBC Introducing) have commended the band for their rapid work pace and BBC Introducing deemed the band to have a "Stadium-filling sound".
Rénovations continue to sell out and host well attended headline shows, and have started gathering attention from national and international festival organisers. Last year, the band have performed at Daxtonbury Festival and Lancaster Festival in England, and at Rock'n'Beer festival in Italy. Rénovations made their debut appearance in The Mash House, Edinburgh, for which they will have full video set available soon.
