The 43rd edition of the legendary Country and Folk Picnic Festival in Mrągowo is ahead of us! This oldest and largest Country Music Festival in Poland and one of the most prestigious European events related to this genre of music will take place on July 26 and 27, 2024. in the Amphitheater on Lake Czos . Concerts start every day at 7:30 p.m. Anyone who has ever participated in the Picnic knows that it is an event that goes far beyond just the musical dimension, it is a cultural phenomenon addressed to audiences of different generations. This, probably the most beautifully located, modern amphitheater in Poland becomes a magical place for two days, filled with music, dance and incredible energy during many hours of concerts and a place of unforgettable fun for fans of real entertainment. It will be the same this year! And if we add to this description the fact that two days before and one day after the concerts in the amphitheater, the city is bustling with music and dance events, a great parade of vehicles and other attractions on many stages and places, it is difficult to resist the temptation to visit Mrągowo last weekend. July! This year we have prepared a special program presenting what is currently the most interesting in European country music. "MUSIC ROAD PILOTS" from the Netherlands has for years been considered the best European band playing music rooted in the tradition of the genre, but arranged and played in a very modern way. 25 years after her first visit to the Picnic during the Country Europa Competition, which she won, SARAH JORY, representing the English music scene, will appear on the amphitheater stage with a recital. A multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, who has performed many times in the USA, she is considered one of the best artists in the world who plays the typical country instrument, pedal steel guitar. For fans of modern sounds in country music, taken both from the tradition of the genre, but also from related styles - blues, folk, rock, i.e. typical Americana, we have prepared a performance of the Dutch group " SUNFIRE" , well received by young fans of country music wherever occur. The Polish equivalent of Sunfire's musical atmosphere will be the great Krakow group "KRAKÓW STREET BAND". The Polish scene will be represented by, among others: the legend of Polish country - 45 years on the music scene - Michał LONSTAR , the band " CODA" with the best Polish steel player Leszek Laskowski and vocalist Marysia Gorajska , the creator of the picnic anthem entitled "All roads lead to Mrągowo" CEZARY MAKIEWICZ with the Koltersi band, or Piotr Bułas & "GARAGE FOLKS" , one of the creators of Polish bluegrass, returning to the Mrągowo scene after years of break . The audience in Mrągowo is already accustomed to the wonderful, energetic fun created by Wojtek Dudkowski and "DROGA NA OSTROŁĘKA" performances , this year it was additionally enhanced by the participation of guests.
