About this concert
Neil Maya's quartet is a firm favourite at the festival and this year brings the Cartoon Jazz project recorded in 2021 with tunes taken exclusively from movies and TV shows made with cartoons and animation. There are a surprisingly large number of tunes perfect for a jazz treatment (many of the already classics of the genre) with Toy Story, Frozen, Monsters Inc, Alice in Wonderland, Lion King, Spider Man and My Little Pony being just some of the tunes features.

Tom Ball Jazz Biography
From Kent and now based in Devon, UK, Tom Ball has been playing jazz piano in a professional capacity since he was 15. His style is based on favourite pianists Bill Evans, Herbie Hancock, Brad Mehldau and Jason Rebello but incorporates elements from many other great exponents of the instrument, as well as folk and classical influences from his musical upbringing.
