About this concert
Club Chub, the best party for large gay men and their admirers, comes to the Iron Bear in Austin, Texas on Sat. April 27th. The theme is Texas Hold 'Em so come out in your best Texas cowboy gear! Featuring a musical performance by Nakia, dance music by DJ Kurt Jo, super sexy Los Angeles big boy go-go dancer Salem, and hosted by Scarlet Sagamore. Doors are 9pm. No cover. Clothes check available.

Nakia Biography
Nakia is a genre-bending queer singer and songwriter who has been a beloved member of the Austin music community for over 20 years. Known as a consummate bandleader for his electrifying performances and unique blend of soulful and bluesy vocals, Nakia has led bands like His Southern Cousins and Blues Grifters, and was a semi-finalist of the first season of The Voice on NBC. Nakia has performed all over the world and shared stages with legendary performers such as Willie Nelson, B.B. King, Sharon Jones, and The Muppets.
