The Stormy Sea Biography
The Stormy Sea, the latest incarnation for Sydney singer/songwriter Blair McQuade, have released their new track
‘You Scare Me’ on all streaming services today. Blair says ‘This song is about how you dream life will turn out when you are
young, like a movie, and then it does - just not in the genre you originally hoped for.’
Blair’s trademark wry lyrics and pop sensibility are again on display in a shimmering indie pop
container – the band describe themselves as ‘hometown indie adventurers’.Joining Blair in the band are singer Shelley who lends the song some soulful innocence, old friend and guitarist Ben, and the rhythm section of Scott and Simone. Simone, a San Francisco native, has called Sydney home for 15 years, having originally fallen in love with Australia while drumming with Michael Franti and The Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy.
