Seeing the boys go above and beyond for the children was truly heartwarming. They even extended the show for a patient. The Powell Brothers are on the next level when it comes to being musicians.

The Powell Brothers Biography
THE POWELL BROTHERS is a Country music recording artist fronted by brothers Taylor Powell (lead vocals, guitar, bass) and Blake Powell (vocals, bass, guitar). Mike Bishop Smith (drums, vocals) rounds out the power trio. With music that uniquely blends Country and Rock genres, a robust annual tour schedule with over 150 dates across 25 states, and a high energy live show that must be seen to be believed, The Powell Brothers have garnered a vast and diverse following. Music releases include 11 singles, 4 EPs and 1 full length album.
The group’s current single is "Drive.” The single was released on August 26, 2022 and is available on all streaming platforms. "Drive" is a song written about the need for self-care. In a world where work-filled days and sleepless nights are romanticized and often portrayed as virtuous, this song reminds us of the need to take care of ourselves. The chorus repeats the lyrics "Drive like you own it," emphasizing the need to steer your life with care. The message is that your life is much too valuable to "drive it like you stole it;" instead, drive it like you own it. The prior single, "Buy A Ticket," was released to radio on February 11, 2022. The song spent 6 months on the radio charts, including 4 full months in the Top 30.
When the world shut down during the Coronavirus pandemic, Taylor Powell, Blake Powell, Mike Bishop Smith, and Blake Sessions got to work at “The Farm.” The Farm is The Powell Brothers’ recording studio and rehearsal space located outside of Houston, Texas. The band spent months in this creative incubator writing and recording new music. The result was a new edgy, hard-hitting sound with major attitude, featuring powerful electric guitar riffs backed by a driving drum beat and gritty bass tones.
While at The Farm, The Powell Brothers re-recorded five (5) songs from their catalogue of previously released material. This new collection of recordings was released in February of 2022 on the EP “Twenty Twenty.” The EP features the group’s new sound discovered during the pandemic; a pulse pounding, addictive musical elixir blending elements of County and Rock in a unique way that is unmistakably The Powell Brothers. The band followed-up "Twenty Twenty" with three single releases, including "Hopeless" (2021), "Buy A Ticket" (2022) and "Drive" (2022).
The Powell Brothers’ music really comes to life in their high energy live show. The group is featured at major music festivals across the United States, including past performances at • Oregon Jamboree (Sweet Home, OR) • Bands In The Backyard (Pueblo, CO) • Hwy 30 Music Fest (Filer, ID) • Way Out West Fest (El Paso, TX) • Corn Palace Festival (Mitchell, SD) • Merchants & Music Festival (Fort Thomas, KY) • Sweet Pea Festival (Bozeman, MT) and • Oyster Ridge Music Festival (Kemmerer, WY) to name a few.
The group has been recognized by the biggest names in Country music, including invitations to tour multiple dates with • Cody Johnson • Parker McCollum • Granger Smith • The Cadillac Three and • Randy Rogers Band. The Powell Brothers have also supported • Jon Pardi • Lee Brice • Brothers Osborne • Josh Tuner • Billy Currington • Gary Allan • Trace Adkins and • Carly Pearce.
Taylor and Blake Powell have many interests outside of music, including sports. The brothers found a way to combine their passions for music and sports by performing at collegiate and professional sporting events, including past concerts at • MLB World Series • NFL Playoffs •NHL Draft • National Finals Rodeo • Las Vegas Bowl • Alamo Bowl • Monday Night Football and • Armed Forces Bowl. The group has also performed kickoff pregame concerts for several major college football programs, including • LSU Tigers • Texas Longhorns • Tennessee Volunteers and • Oklahoma Sooners.
When asked about The Powell Brothers’ explosive growth and what the future holds, Taylor Powell states “It all boils down to good songs and good people. We are committed to the craft of songwriting. Our goal is to make every song and every album better than the last, and to surround ourselves with the best people.” Blake Powell echoes his brother’s thoughts and adds “Our goal is to deliver recorded music and live performances worthy of the love and support we are so blessed to receive."
