The Outcrops

BLUES PEOPLE was born during the pandemic… but the band members have authentically lived their truths - as lifelong working musicians, producers and recording artists for over 30 years. After taking the NY-metro area by storm for 3 years with their incredible shows and musicianship, the band recently won the North Jersey Blues Society International Blues Challenge… and are now heading to Memphis in January to showcase alongside some of the best blues bands from around the world! THE OUTCROPS hail from deep in the woods of Northern New Jersey, where the air is crisp and the spirit of music flows through the trees, and have emerged as a force to be reckoned with. This tight-knit group of musicians weaves together the soulful sounds of blues, the infectious rhythms of funk and soul, and the electrifying energy of rock'n'roll, creating a sonic experience that had them named "Band of the Year" (Aquarian, 2020). At the core of The Outcrops are the dynamic duo of Bryan Schroeder and Cassidy Rain. Bryan, with his searing lead guitar, effortlessly weaves intricate melodies that fall somewhere between the soulful prowess of Derek Trucks and the transcendent vibes of Jerry Garcia. Cassidy brings real and raw powerhouse vocals that fans have compared to artists like Bonnie Raitt, Susan Tedeschi, & Grace Potter, as well as her rhythmic guitar work that is in constant conversation with the band. Both bands are performing in Woodbridge for the first time. The Outcrops: 5-5:45 pm Blues People: 6 pm The show will be outdoors in Parker Press Park in Woodbridge, NJ. It will be moved to a nearby indoor location in case of inclement weather.
