About this concert

Humble Humans Biography
Fronted by French-Mauritian queer singer-songwriter Jonathan Meur, Humble Humans is a Paris-based quartet that writes alternative folk-pop music anchored by “smooth vocals and rich, warm instrumentations*” likened to Sufjan Stevens, Regina Spektor and Kings of Convenience.
Based in Singapore for 15 years, Jonathan has released an album, an EP and a couple of singles, and has performed at some of the country’s most exciting live events – including the Singapore Writers Festival, Mosaic Music Festival and 100 Band Festival – all under his own name. He has also performed in Malaysia, the Philippines, Australia, the UK and the USA.
In 2018, Jonathan assumed the moniker Humble Humans and, in 2020, he released his first project as a composer, the instrumental EP Et Chaque Nuit inspired by the eponymous award-winning animated short.
In 2021, he’s released the singles Dancefloor with Friends, Shit Done, Envoie Valser and Recipe for Disaster, together with animated music videos. The SOFT EP was out on Record Store Day 2022, April 23rd, with alternative versions of the singles: expect all-out New Orleans jazz fun, low-key funk-jazz, strings-led acoustic folk and piano-voice vulnerability.
In 2023, Noé Miralski (guitar), Antoine Brunet (bass) et Prosper Duffours (drums) join Humble Humans. Now fully fledged, the band has embarked on a mission to share its luminous music around France and beyond.
