Pioneers in reinstating the energy and fervor of Rock and Roll, Desoto Tiger has fast become a force to reckon with in the music industry! Embodying an energetic live sound, the band hails from Bradenton, Florida and delivers performances that are both heavy and inspirational.
Formed on the principle of harnessing the power of unity, Desoto Tiger believes in the capacity of people to achieve greatness when they come together. The band's ethos revolves around the potential of a collective strength in overcoming any hurdle that comes their way. This message is carefully woven into their sound and is what sets them apart in the world of rock music.
Frontman Ty Kirkland, originating from Dothan, Alabama, brings a rich background in alternative, hard rock, pop, and Christian rock to the band. Ty, known for his dynamic stage presence, rocks with PRS Guitars and Mesa Boogie amplification. Bombastic drummer Craig Cook, with 26 years of experience, powers the band's rhythm section with his DW drums and Zildjian cymbals. Classically trained musician Courtney Gerhardt adds depth to their sound with her multi-instrumental talents, playing the bass, keyboards, guitar, and trumpet, using Electro-Harmonix pedals and Ibanez/Jackson bass guitars. Last but not least, Theo DiSanto brings the razors edge lead guitar sound of Desoto Tiger . With his 20 years of experience, and his technical playing style, Theo brings the melodic heaviness with the use of Ibanez Guitars and Line6/Bogner Amplification.
Desoto Tiger's first track, "Tyson," serves as a testament to their distinct sound and powerful message. The song mirrors the tenacity of world-renowned boxer Mike Tyson, symbolizing the fight for what one wants most in the world and the relentless pursuit of their goals. Their debut self-titled album, now available on streaming platforms, aims to revive the heavy rock genre and further solidify their unique place in the music world.
