Anouk

All the hits, all the power, plus the humour of Anouk packed in an incredibly well-performed concert. Completely different from her show two days earlier with a choir and the Metropole Orchestra, but straight-up Anouk rocking the venue like she always does. The biggest surprise maybe is her switch to being a very talkative musician who interacts more with the audience and tells personal anecdotes; something she hardly did before but now seemed to enjoy it. Sound was good, lighting was superb, band played tight and with joy. A couple of slower paced songs at the start, but ending with all the energetic hits that everybody sang along with. The only downside to this concert? The support act. Never have there been so many negative responses from the audience. Where two days earlier Thomas Azier put on an excellent performance that maybe deserved more attention, the DJ set prior to Anouk appearing on stage for this show was simply not up to snuff. Sound quality was bad and the whole experience was agony to many.
