Founded by Drahcir Nav Olreb, Phenex and Ynzir in 2011. Dood is the Dutch word for “death” and speaks for itself. A first album was written by their main composers Drahcir Nav Olreb and Ynzir during one year of existence, Dood created the album “Luciferian Manifest”which is full of raw,suicidal and psycho Black Metal. The first album was released through “Zwaertgevegt label”on January 13th 2013, a Dutch underground label. The first ever live show was played in Benavente Portugal at the X treme Metal attack festival.In 2013 plans were made to add a second session/live guitarist and background keyboard player and to begin working on a E.p. Billy joined the band as a session guitarist and K as a session keyboard player. Also Phenex one of the 3 core members left the band due to personal reasons.And was replaced by B on bass guitar. In 2014 problems with the production due to outside factors started to delay the E.p. So Dood decided to exclude all outsiders and began to work on a full length called``Liberating Self Destruction`` which was released on August 27th 2015.After the album was released Dood gave a statement announcing that they make ``Psycho black metal``.Somewhere inbetween raw,depressive and progressive black metal.In early 2016 session players Billy and Kim left the band, Drahcir Nav Olreb than took it upon himself to play guitars live and Kim was replaced by J. on session keys.
