Tantric is an American rock band from Louisville, Kentucky, United States.
For rock fans, the early 2000s were a unique moment in music history.The decade arrived carrying the grit and authenticity of the '90s grunge movement while embracing the energy, experimentation, and ambition of a new millennium. Among the most notable bands of that generation is Tantric.
The group was founded in 1999 by Hugo Ferreira & former "Days of the New" members Todd Whitener, Jesse Vest and Matt Taul (now all no longer with the band). Tantric has released eight studio albums and one EP; Tantric (2001), After We Go (2004), The End Begins (2008), Broken Down...Live in the Poconos (2008), Mind Control (2009), 37 Channels (2013) and Blue Room Archives (2014), Mercury Retrograde (2018), Sum Of All Things (2021)
As of 2026, Tantric is currently celebrating the 25th Anniversary of their Gold Certified debut album with a year long tour. They are also currently in the studio recording their next album, which has industry professionals saying will be their best record yet.

The music and bands were great, then venue was disappointing. Before Tantric was even done with their set, the venue was moving people away from their tables and seats, moving the tables and setting up for a bull riding event. I felt bad for the headliner, Tantric didn’t even get to finish their set before the venue was moving on to the next money maker.
