Will Pope’s music blends heartfelt storytelling with modern, atmospheric production. Drawing from indie, alternative, and acoustic influences, his sound is both intimate and expansive, pairing emotive vocals with thoughtful lyrics about love, change, and self-reflection. Pope has played shows all over the country and in notable local venues like St Pancras Old Church and Union Chapel, and sold out Green Note Basement last year. This tour marks the release of his second album 'True to Form' recorded and produced at The Crypt Studio in London.

Künstlerbiografie
Will Pope is a folk artist from Rotherham, UK whose debut release “Stormy Seas” received acclaim from the likes of Mahogany and Alexrainbird music. Having been declared The Soundsniffer’s One to Watch for 2024 he has continued to release a wave of new material which has been well-received appearing on official Spotify playlists like “Fresh on Friday '' growing in thousands of streams. His signature style originates from a love of Chet Atkins fingerstyle guitar modernised by contemporary folk acts The Tallest Man on Earth and Luke De-Sciscio and a vocal style like that of Jeff Buckley stemming from a love of rock and soul.
His debut release “Burying Giants” of which "Stormy Seas" is part is the culmination of years of hard work, shaped by the Beijing music scene (Axis Neptune / Su Zixu + The Paramecia / Clustercuss) and artists and musicians Pope has collaborated with along the way.
“a voice that possesses enough unique characteristics to be his own, and one could easily throw elements of Thom Yorke and a diluted Nick Drake – particularly in phrasing aspects – as further ingredients into the mix. It’s a voice that conveys, and successfully ‘sells,’ the gamut of emotions required to ensure emotional investment from the listener.” - Gareth Johnston, The Indie Grid
“Pope is in rarefied air; he’s an under-the-radar artist with a fully developed sound, a clear sonic vision” - Ben Coley, Indie Central Music
“Take the enthralling swoop of Jeff Buckley, add a dab of The Tallest Man On Earth’s intricate guitarwork, then tinge with a smidgeon of Mogwai, and you might have an idea of Will Pope.” - Nicole Mendez, The Other Side
