TIDE

TIDE is a five-piece collective from the greater Oulu area of northern Finland — a band born in 2024, but forged through decades of shared history, frostbitten rehearsal rooms, and long conversations under cloud-heavy skies. The companionship of the members was shaped by the gentle but unforgiving rhythm of the north: endless winters, shifting sea ice, and forests that groan under heavy snow.

Their sound reflects the conflict of northern seasons — straightforward and intricate, heavy and dreamlike — drawing comparisons to artists like Rush, H.E.A.T and VOLA, yet moving with its own tidal pull. The music isn’t trying to fit in. It grows the way frost does: unpredictably, beautifully, and with quiet force, inviting the listener to dive into the depths of the ocean before lifting them up to the clouds.

The band first came together in a flooded forest clearing — fitting, perhaps, for a group whose chemistry feels as natural as erosion. They have never released a song. Few even know the band’s name. But that’s about to change, as their Odyssey is just starting.
TIDE is currently working on their debut album. Their debut single was released in August 2025.
