School of X Biography
Since 2017, Rasmus Littauer has been releasing music under the moniker School of X. Born into a family of musicians with an entrepreneurial flair, he quickly rose to prominence on Copenhagen's vibrant underground music scene alongside his brothers, Simon and Jakob. Immersed in various projects in the city, Littauer soon found his own voice, which was the beginning of School of X.
And just as the Copenhagen-based experimental pop-art collective from the 1960s — from which he borrows his artist moniker — Rasmus Littauer continues to be on an uncompromising path to carve out his unique style of alternative pop with each of his releases. The hard work has not gone unnoticed, with School of X earning international acclaim for his powerful alternative pop imbued with a sense of melancholy, like NPR’s Stephen Thompson who noted how “Littauer's arty inspirations and aspirations don't drown out his pop sensibilities”.
On stage, Rasmus Littauer transforms the recordings into a dynamic performance oscillating between high-energy bursts and tender, intimate moments. Meanwhile, Littauer has collaborated with artists like Liss, Trentemøller, MØ, Deb Never, Ana Perrote (Hinds), Spencer Zahn (Empress Of, Half Waif), Davide Rossi (Jon Hopkins, Gorillaz), among others.
