Hot Lips & Fingertips

Founded in 1974, Hot Lips and Fingertips performed to packed houses at the renowned O'Mahoney's Irish Whip in Santa Monica as well as throughout Southern California. HL&FT takes its audiences on a joyful musical journey, serving up an inspired blend of Irish jigs and reels, along with a generous portion of American, French-Canadian and Scottish fiddle tunes and even a bit of baroque. Big Band and Texas Swing, Blues, Country and Cajun are also in the mix along with some tasty original songs. In short, HL&FT's performances offer a unique and eclectic blend of instrumental and vocal arrangements, along with a surprise guest or two thrown in for good measure! If you know, you know. The band members are: Ed Berghoff - Lead and Rhythm Guitars, Vocals; Jim Garafalo - Upright and Electric Bass / Viol da Gamba, Vocals; Mark Indictor - Fiddle / 5-String Violin, Vocals; Daniel Kahane - Violin / Guitar / Mandolin, Vocals; Larry Zack - Drums, Percussion.

Collectively, the members of HL&FT have had their musical services sought by such artists as Garth Brooks, Bonnie Raitt, Jackson Browne, Eddie Money, Wynonna Judd, Dolly Parton, Johnny Rivers, Deana Carter, Albert Lee, Doo-Wah Riders to name a few, and are associated with millions of record sales and several movies and hit TV shows past and present.

As a band, HL&FT has performed at the 1984 Olympics, was in residency as the house band on NBC's "Real People" and "Speak Up America", and in Europe on "The Monte Carlo Show".
