[ ITA]BOLOGNA VIOLENTA è un progetto nato nel 2005 da un’idea di Nicola Manzan, musicista trevigiano che da allora ha pubblicato sotto questo pseudonimo cinque album,vari ep, split e remix. I suoi lavori sono caratterizzati da sonorità estreme, in cui le batterie elettroniche vengono arrangiate con chitarre grindcore e orchestre classiche. Le tematiche affrontate sono per lo più riferite ai drammi della vita, al forte contrasto tra l’essere umano e il mondo che lo circonda, ma soprattutto al diffcile rapporto tra gli esseri umani stessi. Nel 2015 il progetto è diventato un duo con l’ingresso in formazione di Alessandro Vagnoni come batterista dal vivo e polistrumentista in studio. BV è stato materia d’esame nel corso di “Arte digitale” all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia e presso la stessa sede è stato anche presentato il progetto The Sound of..., in cui i pezzi di quaranta discografe diverse vengono fatti suonare simultaneamente. Nicola Manzan è un violinista, polistrumentista e produttore trevigiano. Ha lavorato in studio e dal vivo con artisti italiani ed internazionali, tra cui Jesu (J. K. Broadrick - Godflesh), Menace (con Mitch Harris e Shane Embury - Napalm Death e Derek Roddy), Igorrr, Baustelle e Fast Animals and Slow Kids. Alessandro Vagnoni è un batterista, polistrumentista e produttore fermano. Ha collaborato con band death metal quali Dark Lunacy, Resurrecturis, Infernal Poetry ed è titolare del progetto Bushi e di molti altri piccoli deliri musicali sotto vari pseudonimi. [ENG] BOLOGNA VIOLENTA was born in 2005 as the moniker of Italian musician Nicola Manzan, who has since released fve albums – and several EPs, spilts and remixes - under this pseudonym. BV’s works combine electronic beats with grindcore guitars and classical orchestras into a uniquely extreme sound. They touch on a variety of issues, from everyday tragedies to the stark contrast between human beings and their conficted relation with each other and with the world in which they live. In 2015 the project turned into a duo, as it was joined by live drummer and studio multi-instrumentalist Alessandro Vagnoni. BOLOGNA VIOLENTA was discussed and studied in the Digital Arts course at the Venice Fine Arts Academy, where it also featured in The Sound Of..., a project in which the tracks from 40 different discographies were played simultaneously. Nicola Manzan is a violinist, multi-instrumentalist and producer from Treviso. His live and studio collaborations include several major Italian and International artists, such as Jesu (J. K. Broadrick - Godflesh), Menace (with Mitch Harris and Shane Embury - Napalm Death), Igorrr, Baustelle and Fast Animals and Slow Kids. Alessandro Vagnoni is a drummer, multi-instrumentalist and producer from Fermo and he worked with several death metal bands, including Dark Lunacy, Resurrecturis and Infernal Poetry. He is also the mastermind of Bushi and of several other crazy musical projects. Started as a one-man-band, now it's a dynamic-grinding-duo.
