For your ears only: dazzling singing, timeless beauty and pure showmanship as the eight singers of VOCES8 takes an evening-long journey into the music of the night. Nobody does it better. VOCES8 is more than just a vocal octet with a dazzling difference: these eight stellar vocalists are musicians on a mission – in their own words, to ‘inspire people through music and share the joy of singing’. And that’s exactly what they’ll be doing at Cadogan Hall, with an evening of song that ranges from plainchant to gospel and from Brahms to Bond themes – all sung with the showmanship, warmth and finesse that have made this 2023 Grammy-nominated group one of the hottest choral properties on the planet. The theme tonight is night itself, and with VOCES8 to sing it, this will be music that glows in the dark.

Voces8 was sublime. They were precise in the execution of their eclectic setlist. They sounded divine--so well balanced with clean technique. I loved their performance so much. I would have given this concert 5 stars based on the artists alone, but the venue unfortunately spoiled the experience for my wife and me. Choral music really is an intricate, delicate art that is best experienced in the near-silence of a performance hall. The fact that food and drinks were served in this "lounge" was bad enough, but the worst aspect for me was the swinging of the kitchen door which interrupted this perfect of group of international musicians with clangs and yelling from the kitchen staff. It's safe to say that we will not be seeing any more classical concerts here. We can't wait to see Voces8 in any other space when they return.

VOCES8 Biography
The 2023 Grammy-nominated British vocal ensemble VOCES8 is proud to inspire people through music and share the joy of singing. Touring globally, the group performs an extensive repertory both in its a cappella concerts and in collaborations with leading musicians, orchestras and conductors. Versatility and a celebration of diverse musical expression are central to the ensemble’s performance and education ethos which is shared both online and in person. VOCES8 is the flagship ensemble of the VOCES8 Foundation which actively promotes ‘Music Education For All’, reaching up to 40,000 people annually.
VOCES8 has performed at many notable venues from Wigmore Hall to Sydney Opera House. This season they perform over 100 concerts globally. Online the VOCES8 Digital Academy and the LIVE From London digital festival continue. They publish music and educational material with VOCES8 Publishing, E.C. Schirmer and Edition Peters, including The VOCES8 Method written by Paul Smith. Ken Burton is Composer-in-Residence with Jim Clements as Arranger-in-Residence. Their new album “Nightfall” is released in September 2024, joining previous releases “A Choral Christmas”, Christopher Tin’s “The Lost Birds” (a Grammy-Award nominee), “Home” conducted by Eric Whitacre, featuring “The Sacred Veil” and “Seven Psalms” by Paul Simon.
