About this concert
Moving Pictures play for over two hours covering all the classics such as Tom Sawyer, The Spirit of Radio and Xanadu (with doubleneck guitars) plus some deeper cuts such as By Tor and later belters such as Far Cry and Headlong Flight. This return to the Georgian Theatre will feature the FULL MOVING PICTURES ALBUM. Featuring drummer Jamie Dunleavey — this young lady from St Andrews is scarily on point. It takes a unique set of skills to sing AND play bass AND play keys like Geddy Lee — Eóin de Paor is incredibly accurate. Guitarist Steve Brown is a lifelong Rush fan and pro player with way too many guitars and wicked sense of humour — not unlike Mr Lifeson! Moving Pictures are regularly on the bill at Rush fan conventions, have recordings on all 4 Songs For Neil albums (including performances with Terry Brown and Hugh Syme) and have performed for Neil Peart's family in Lakeside Park, Canada. 2024 shows will include Rush fan events in Brazil and Holland. www.MovingPicturesUK.com

Had an excellent experience watching these guys at the 02 Birmingham. Their musicianship and technical prowess were second to non. All three band members were enjoying themselves and there was banter going back and forth throughout. The crowd who knew the lyrics to all the songs Enjoyed the craic and everywhere I looked there were goofy grins and nodding heads along with some drum solos being reanacted. Would definitely see them again Superb

Moving Pictures - Rush Tribute - Scotland Biography

Power trio MOVING PICTURES are a Rush tribute at the top of their game. Playing over 50 gigs in 2023 including Lakeside Park in Canada for Neil Peart's family.
Favourites of Planet Rock's Darren Redick - who has been known to join them on stage.
They have recordings on all 4 Songs for Neil tribute albums, including performances with Terry Brown, Hugh Syme and Jacob Moon.

On hearing their original arrangement of AFTERIMAGE, Alex Lifeson wrote "Very moving and beautifully done. Heartfelt thanks to the band for their kind tribute."

Featuring drummer Jamie Dunleavey - this young lady from St Andrews is scarily on point.
It takes a unique set of skills to sing AND play bass AND play keys like Geddy Lee - John Power is incredibly accurate.
Guitarist Steve Brown is a lifelong Rush fan and pro player with way too many guitars and wicked sense of humour - not unlike a certain Mr Lifeson.

"They had only been on stage for mere minutes and already my face was aching from the sustained grin.
These strangers who weren't actually Rush made me feel as though I was finally attending a legitimate Rush concert.
The accuracy with which they all play while still maintaining a lighthearted approach to their performance is, well, it's exactly as you'd expect from Rush themselves."
Mark Reid - Rockfiend

"To emulate 3 of the highest musical calibre artists, with such gusto, was seriously impressive. "

“That was the 3rd best Rush show I’ve ever seen. The first 2 were Rush.”

"My Villa has never been so brilliantly strangled."
