About this concert
Bluesfest 2024 will mark the 35th anniversary of this all-time favourite festival and will take place across the Easter Long weekend from Thursday, 28 March to Monday, 1 April 2024. The five days festival is held on the beautiful grounds of the Byron Events Farm, Tyagarah, NSW, Australia.
From humble beginnings in 1990 with crowds of 6000 people, Bluesfest now regularly attracts an audience of 100,000. Bluesfest hosts artists such as Buddy Guy, Bob Dylan, BB King, Bonnie Raitt, John Fogerty, Mary J Blige, Santana, Kendrick Lamar and Tom Jones, thus securing itself as Australia's favourite music festival. It's also the most awarded festival, being nominated up to nine times as Best International Festival by Pollstar, the music industry publication. Pollstar also listed Bluesfest as one of the TOP 10 Festivals of the Decade.
Bluesfest 2024 promises to be another amazing festival. With extensive site upgrades at Byron Events Farm, the experience is only getting better and better. In terms of location, Bluesfest is well-situated and surrounded by the charming village of Mullumbimby and the beach towns of Byron Bay and Brunswick Heads. This was such a good show, every artist were so appreciative of the crowd. The WILSN band were tight & the brass section added so much. Very enjoyable & a voice that melts hearts but also so full & rich. The crowd loved it & we were the lucky ones.

WILSN Biography
Possessing the kind of voice that stops you in your tracks, WILSN makes classic soul music with a contemporary approach and a healthy dose of raw power.
Originally hailing from Geelong, WILSN, AKA Shannon Busch, moved to Melbourne out of high school after being accepted to study Jazz at the city's prestigious Victorian College of the Arts. Having spent her life looking up to classic soul and jazz singers like Billie Holiday, Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald and Aretha Franklin, she would pen songs that celebrated the rich history of soul, while injecting her own personality and attitude into each track.
Upon signing a US publishing deal with Pulse, Busch relocated to America and spent two years in writing rooms with Grammy Award winning writers honing her craft, before being asked asked to join The Teskey Brothers on their 2019 UK/Europe tour –playing to sold out crowds across the continent. Moving back home to Melbourne at the start of 2020 she began recording anew with producer Stephen Charles (BLESSED, Tyne-James Organ).
In February of 2023, WILSN released her debut album, Those Days Are Over, through Ivy League Records in Australia and Virgin Records in the US and UK/EU. Featuring singles ‘Those Days Are Over’, ‘Hurts So Bad’ - a duet with The Teskey Brothers’ front man Josh Teskey - ‘Tell Me’, ‘You Know Better’, ‘Me Or Her’ and ‘If You Wanna Love Me’, the record is an exciting fusion of modern soul, pop, jazz and Motown. WILSN's lived experience is poured into each track and delivered effortlessly through her jaw-dropping vocal performances. With production that is simultaneously nostalgic and contemporary, the record has all the hallmarks of an instant classic.
