About this concert
Multi instrumentalist Jimi Tenor plays live at Things Happen Here - one of only 2 solo UK dates in 2023.
Possibly Finland's most legendary multi-genre maestro with releases stretching back to the early 90s where he was a staple in the heydays of Warp Records. Since then he has remained prolific and recorded with the likes of Tony Allen, Kabu Kabu and his set consists of both well-known and obscure classics, in his own distinctive mix of Jazz, Funk, House, Electronic, R'n'B and Afro.
Support is from extrastereo with one of his eclectic, expertly currated vinyl DJ sets.

Jimi Tenor Biography
Jimi Tenor, born as Lassi Lehto, is a Finnish musician. His band Jimi Tenor & His Shamans published its first album in 1988. Jimi's first solo album Sähkömies appeared in 1994. "Take Me Baby" became his first hit in 1994.
Jimi Tenor's latest album Joystone was made with the band Kabu Kabu as Jimi Tenor & Kabu Kabu on Sähkö recordings.
