Sinfonia Toronto?s ?Schumann & Dvorak / Rejoice in Romance? concert celebrates the holiday season with a Baroque favourite, Corelli?s ?Christmas Concerto,? and also continues the orchestra?s 25th Anniversary celebrations with a waltz dedicated to them by a Ukrainian composer. Under the baton of Music Director Nurhan Arman, the concert will include an evocative Canadian work, Jocelyn Morlock?s ?Nostalgia,? and two major works from the Romantic era. Super-star cellist Stéphane Tétreault will join the orchestra for Robert Schumann?s beautifully melodic, introspective Cello Concerto, and the concert will finish with The Cypresses, a suite of ten love songs by Dvorak.
