About this concert
The band’s first ever run of orchestral concerts draws on their 25-year catalogue and songs from the forthcoming album. Following a 2022 world tour when they played 70 shows over 28 countries – the band’s first live dates in five years – Sigur Rós are going on their first ever run of orchestral concerts, a collaboration with Rob Ames, co-Artistic Director and co-Principal Conductor of the London Contemporary Orchestra. Sigur Rós founders Jónsi and Georg Holm are joined by former member Kjartan Sveinsson, who rejoined the band in 2021 after stepping away to concentrate on other projects.

A delightful birthday gift from Sean + Nyki. I hadn't seen them since I lived in Denver almost two decades ago, when I think they were touring off the Takk album. It was great to see them again, though they weren't quite as epic or tight in their performance as back then.
