It had been years since I was at the Old Church and forgot how wonderful the acoustics are. Although when you have such talent as Naomi it probably wouldn’t of matter. I am so glad my sister introduced me to her music and I look forward to catching another concert of hers!

Naomi LaViolette Biography
A gifted songwriter and versatile pianist from the Pacific NW, Naomi LaViolette’s favorite place to make music is at the intersection of creativity and empathy.
A giver and a peacemaker at heart, her musical projects often lift up the stories of other people and strike a distinctive balance between soul-searching angst and gratitude. Her original songs mine not only the vulnerable depths of her life, but also the joy found in natural spaces, love and friendship, spiritual journeys, and difficult topics about loss. Her authentic live performance, whether solo or with a band or ensemble, is an intimate and inspiring experience.
LaViolette’s critically acclaimed recordings have earned her comparisons to Norah Jones, Sara Bareilles, and Sarah McLachlan. She has opened for national and international artists, and performed at esteemed venues and festivals including the Carnegie Hall Weill Recital Hall, Portland Jazz Festival, Jimmy Mak’s, the Doug Fir Lounge, and the Aladdin Theater. Her collaborative work with Steven Craig Goodwin has received prominent press coverage, including a special on CBS Sunday Morning, a feature by Pulitzer Prize winner Tom Hallman Jr. in The Oregonian, and The Saturday Evening Post. Their record, entitled The Nature Of Love, spent three weeks on the Billboard New Age chart in January 2018.
