About this concert
HTRK bring their hugely acclaimed new album Venus in Leo to Hobart with support from Native Cats and Scraps. The Melbourne based duo of Jonnine Standish and Nigel Yang return to Australia following an extensive European tour, which saw them named by Resident Advisor as one of five key performances at Berlin Atonal (“it was amazing to see so many people enthralled by such intense, mellow music”).

HTRK Biography
Over two decades as a band, HTRK have lived nearly every life. Since emerging rakish and urbane in early-2000s Melbourne, they have been enfant terrible rock stars, celebrated pop stars, futurists, nostalgists, studio rats, gig pigs, noise musicians, silence musicians, and much more, sometimes shifting shape two, three times before their new guise sees archival in the form of a record or performance. Amongst it all, their art has remained remarkably resolute in its aims, cataloguing desire, intimacy, and spirit like few others
