No dia 22 de junho, às 21h, o Planet Hemp se apresenta na Live Curitiba. Os ingressos custam a partir de R$ 40 e têm desconto pelo Clube Gazeta do Povo. Na noite, também se apresenta o rapper BK.
Planet Hemp foi criada por Marcelo D2 e Skunk em 1993 no Rio de Janeiro. Além deles, os integrantes principais são Rafael Crespo, BNegão, Formigão e Bacalhau. Entre os sucessos mais conhecidos, estão músicas como “Mantenha o Respeito”, “Queimando Tudo” e “Dig Dig Dig”.
No dia do evento, é proibida a entrada com câmeras fotográficas profissionais, guarda-chuvas, pau de selfie, objetos cortantes, correntes, bermuda e regata masculina, chinelos, camisetas de time, bebidas, alimentos e capuz, que é proibido o uso mas a vestimenta é permitida. Planet Hemp Biography
Rap, Rock, Ska, Hardcore and Samba.
First appearing in 1993 in Rio De Janeiro, with politically charged lyrics about marijuana legalization, they started playing concerts in Rio de Janeiro and other capitals, such as Belo Horizonte, São Paulo and Curitiba.
Planet Hemp began attracting mainstream attention due to the violent outbreaks which were common during their concerts. In 1994 Skunk, one of the original band members passed away, interrupting Planet Hemp's career for some time, but after Bê Negão joined the group they signed a contract with Sony Music, releasing the 1995 album "Usuário".
This record turned the band into a youth icon, realeasing many successful hits such as "Mantenha o Respeito", "Legalize Já", "Fazendo a Cabeça" and the controversial "Porcos Fardados" (Pigs in Uniform), a critique of police brutality.
Because of their commitment and lyrics towards the legalisation of marijuana, Planet Hemp has had issues with the Brazilian authorities. This tension has lead to apprehended records, cancelled concerts and prison warrants (in Brazil it is illegal to promote/defend the use of prohibited substances, including but not limited to weed).
