The Gathering Irish Band Biography
The Gathering Irish Band is fronted by award winning Irish singer-songwriter Mick McHugh. The band pride themselves on seeing their audiences having fun with their energetic Irish trad tunes and songs, blended with an array of popular covers.
The Gathering brings together some great contemporary Irish-Australian musicianship to put their unique stamp on Irish music. They have recorded for ABC Music, toured internationally, and entertained at major festivals such as Port Fairy Folk Fest and Australian Celtic Fest. Says Mick McHugh, “The Gathering is about Irish music at its essence - bringing people together and having great craic!”.
