Aidan James Biography

Aidan James hails from the Aloha State – Hawaii. Although the ukulele is most known for its Hawaiian tradition, Aidan has taken it to a different level, streamlining its unique sound into pop/urban music.

At 8 years old, Aidan became a YouTube “sensation” when a video of him performing Train’s Hey, Soul Sister quickly went viral and earned over 20 million views to date.
At age 11, Aidan began songwriting. His first single, “One of the Ones,” was released in early 2014. With music placement on “Hawaii Five-0” and its music video featured on Hawaiian Airlines in-flight programming. Commissioned by HBO to write an original song for their docu-series, “Saving My Tomorrow," Aidan was in an episode performing "Back To Where We Came From".
Now 16 years old, with insightful songwriting, a deeper, mature sound and rounded vocals plus infusing the ukulele into the pop/urban genres, this became his signature sound. His first full length album, Echoes, debuted in December 2015. Aidan joined Train on their "Sail Across The Sun" tour from Miami to Jamaica and a few of his music videos were showcased at GMA's Summer Concert Series at Central Park in 2016.

Aidan resides in California and his first release in 2 years, What My Friends Talk About was released on December 8. His latest single Casanova, a collaboration with Chosen Jacobs, released mid May.
