Amiena

Amiena is an international artist whose unique voice draws you in with its sensuality, honesty and strength. Her intimate and relatable songs speak to the deepest parts of our hearts. An award-winning singer and songwriter, her five albums and several singles span a range of genres including: AC, Soul/R&B, Spiritual and World Music. Amiena began performing as a child and has not stopped since. In addition to the US, she has performed in Italy, London, Lebanon, Syria, Greece, Switzerland, Dubai, Prague, Bahrain, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Darfur. She won multiple LA Music Awards including: Soul R&B Album of the Year for her album Right Here, Female Vocalist of the Year – New Jazz for her song Fourth Floor, Female Singer/Songwriter of the Year Independent Artist for her song Graham Cracker Houses, and International Independent Breakthrough Artist of the Year. Her music has appeared in various media formats including the hit TV show Bones, which featured her song Never Know. Amiena has worked with some of the most respected musicians, co-writers, arrangers and producers in the business including: Juno Award Winner and Grammy Nominated producer Adrian Bradford (Celine Dion, Barbara Streisand); Jeff Cardoni (Entourage, CSI: Miami); Dwayne Larring (SonicFLOOd), Kenneth Crouch (Andrea Crouch, Mariah Carey) and Myles West. She has recorded duets with both Chris Mann (The Voice) and Tim Spell. Her current band includes guitarist Jamie Kime (Dweezil Zappa, Dr. John), keyboardist Andrae Alexander, bassist Chris Roy (Nancy Sinatra, Don Randi), and drummer Jorge Villanueva. She is a voting NARAS/Grammy member, a BMI writer/publisher member, and a member of SONA. Amiena is actively involved in several charities including: ADRP, Inc. In addition to all this she found time to obtain a degree in law. Amiena has just released her 6th studio album, All In. This record features the multi-instrumentalist talents of producer Bradford along with guest appearances by Nitin Sawhney on guitar and Roly Platt on harmonica on Ghost; Tabla player Alok Verma on Chance; and guitarist Tim Pierce on Come With Me.
