This year Brickwater is once again heading out with a guitar case and a harmonica, a legal drug pressing the little buttons at the back of your head. Sound-wise it is as 'brickwaterish' as ever, somewhere in the spheres between indie, folk and punk. Frontperson Bricky Waters, born and raised on soul and R'n'B and later swept into political punk rock, loves getting lost between genres. Once the shouting front man of the rascal punk 'n' roll band 'King Lui van Beethoven' and later a founding member of the Folk's Worst Nightmare collective, he plays songs with depth and levity, melancholy and reflection, with brains and heart, beautiful melodies and personal lyrics. Take as needed. Avoid underdosing!
