Formed in March 2000, “Chalice” is a Christian band comprised of singers and musicians who share a common purpose to help people draw closer to the Lord. They use the Word of God, testimony, and various styles of music including Praise and Worship, Southern Gospel, Traditional Hymns, Contemporary, Worship Choruses, along with Original Compositions to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ anywhere they can. The members of the group are born again, spirit-filled believers who share a common purpose to help others experience the presence of God. The basic program typically includes songs from each of the above styles of music, but special requests can be made for certain songs and/or styles. They are even willing to learn new songs if needed for specific events or themes. Programs are, for the most part, designed to coordinate with the style of music that the church or organization is accustomed to. Their unique way of blending the different musical styles make their programs great for all ages. Because their programs are more than just “Christian Entertainment” but more of a “worship experience,” an altar call and prayer time are offered at the conclusion of each program. “Chalice” is able to lead Praise and Worship for most Worship Services and they can also provide a devotional, message, or sermon if needed.

They are available to sing for: * Worship Services * Nursing Homes * Coffee Houses * Church Picnics/Events * Retreats * Banquets/Dinners * Concerts * Revivals * Festivals * Weddings * Youth Events * Fundraisers * Promotional Events * Holiday Events * and more

To create an even more family oriented event, Chalice sings some “fun” songs that kids enjoy and sometimes they bring “Puppets for the King” if requested. Sharing the program time with the puppets is a little more difficult and limits each ministry to a shorter program. Keep in mind when booking both groups together, neither will be able to do a complete program but rather each group will do a partial program. When booking both groups together time may need to be adjusted and extra time added to accommodate the extra program.

They also have a video projector available to display the words to songs for congregational singing. A few songs have been enhanced with a presentation using graphical images and photographs which increases the effectiveness of the message. Kris dabbles with some sign language and has translated a few worship songs. If they know ahead of time that someone is hearing impaired in attendance, they will be sure to do a few of the sign interpreted songs. Most anyone that has seen a song done in sign knows that it is a form of worship in and of itself.

There may be a fee required to have this ministry appear for your organization. A “love offering” and possibly a guarantee to cover travel expenses and overnight lodging if needed is usually asked but occasionally there are other expenses involved. Whenever financially possible some programs are provided completely free of charge. Please contact the ministry office for more information or to discuss arrangements.
