Über The Watch

The Watch
The Watch is a five-member band from Milan, Italy, whose music is inspired by the classic progressive rock of the 1970s and in particular the music of Genesis.
Since 2001, they have released eight studio albums. Their seventh studio album 'Seven' also featured Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett. Melody and energy are the main characteristics of their music and live performances their strong point.
Their "The Watch plays Genesis" live shows are devoted to Genesis albums from 1970 to 1977, covering the period from Trespass to Seconds Out.
The band's way of interpreting Genesis music has aroused enormous interest from fans of Genesis music and beyond, taking the band year after year on increasingly extensive tours throughout Europe and the UK as well as in the USA and Canada.
The dramatic Gabrielesque vocals of The Watch singer, closest ever to Peter Gabriel, and the all-round instrumental excellence of the band will give you the opportunity to hear some magnificent songs, like it was back in the days. No other group manages to capture the adventurousness and electricity of Genesis in their pioneering times with quite such raw emotion. Just close your eyes and there you are in the seventies!
Steve Hackett (Genesis lead guitarist) says: "The Watch is a band of very talented people and I recommend them."
Paul Whitehead (Genesis graphic artist): "The band who remind me most of the Genesis magic."
UK Prog Newsletter: "What's unique here are the vocals, so very similar to those of a young Peter Gabriel"
The Watch is: Simone Rossetti (lead vocals, flute, keyboards, synthesisers), Valerio De Vittorio (keyboards, synthesisers, guitars, vocals), Mattia Rossetti (bass, guitars, vocals), Francesco Vaccarezza (drums, percussion, vocals) and Andrea Giustiniani (lead guitars).

Was die Fans sagen
The Watch recreate the sound of Genesis with skill and sensitivity from the first song to the last the show is a tour de force of great musicianship, “take a little trip back “indeed

From arrival to departure this was a joy! The venue is amazingly inclusive and helpful. Parking attendants ensure a hassle free carpark experience before handing over to the front of house team of friendly, knowledgeable staff. The bar/seating area could do with more chairs but that’s only a minor niggle.
The auditorium is exquisitely intimate with the stage flanked on three sides by tiered seating, meaning that everyone has an uninterrupted view of the stage and performance.
The Watch, as always, delivered an excellent and unashamedly hi-intensity flashback to the live early Genesis which had every head in the house banging.
In short, a faultless tribute band experience which transported everyone back to their youth.
Great venue, great band, great night out. Great.

Die Show war wie immer perfekt. Danke. Ich freue mich schon auf die nächste Show.
Eine kleine Anmerkung: Leider gab es an diesen Abend am Merchandising Stand eure T-Shirts nur in Größe " L " 😒
