My 1st TE concert but not my last! “Extraordinary” is insufficient to describe my evening. I’ve told almost anyone who will listen that if you would have played his last set via audio only & said that it is 1 person & 1 instrument, I wouldn’t believe ya. But that’s how he rolls: doing the seeming impossible, smoothly & in joy. But the best part is how he shares his joy with the audience - pure magic.

Great show! Gracious, humble, humorous, ridiculously talented and skillful guitarist and performer! He’s a terrific frontman and can make that geetar sound like a full band! Two sets and nearly 2 hours of solo acoustic gems — filled full with engaging storytelling and soulful, technically executed musicianship. A true Australian musical mensch!

OUTSTANDING on ALL accounts, from breath-taking venue, kind & helpful greeters everywhere, clear view from 2nd row balcony, acoustics allowed Tommy’s sound system to perform with perfection, and I’m sure more could be added to this side, but time to address the talent. Tommy’s performance had me dancin’ in my seat right out of the gates, some pieces took my breath away, others made me laugh loudly, and then came moments where it went straight to my heart - not an easy target. At times, all emotions were on fire at once. For one of the final pieces of the night, it was beyond comprehension that 1 person with 1 guitar made the depth and layers of sounds he delivered to us, the fortunate audience. It appeared that Tommy also had a blast - that matters and was felt on every note. 2 small suggestions: 1. Fab Newmark Venue - Please have a full coffee & tea bar 2. Tommy - I asked several staff members to call/text you to request you come join us at your merch table to sign the cd I was purchasing, along with other memorabilia. It would have been nice to share with you our appreciation/awe/delight/flat out amazement at your skills/performance/creation/talent/genius. Or at least to tell you that you’re not bad for a bloke from down under✌🏼

Tommy always puts on a superb show. He works very hard at his craft, is one of the greatest living guitarists. He does a very good job of engaging his audience. I was lucky enough to have the best seat in the house, front row center, and he seemed to be playing to my friend and I, and the people surrounding us who he could see best. He also seemed to really appreciate the positive response of the audience. I try to see him anytime he comes in to the Philly area.

WOW. At the beginning of the show, Tommy Emmanuel came out on stage, picked up a guitar, and was off and running on a musical marathon that lasted about 2 and a half hours ( with an intermission of about 20 minutes). His skill, dexterity and energy are amazing. Selections included "Black and White to Color", "House of the Rising Sun", "Haba na Haba", a Beatles medley and "Waltzing Matilda". In-between, he told funny and touching stories about the people or things that inspired the songs. The songs were accompanied by a fantastic light show synced to the music. His warmth and friendliness is genuine; he seemed to having as good a time as the audience was. The Cahn Auditorium is a beautiful building and a nice venue. I had a good view of the stage, and the seats were comfortable. I do wish the bar had water and some non-alcoholic options. The staff was courteous and welcoming. I really enjoyed the show!

Absolutely one of the best guitarist in history. Never ever disappoints. He’s just an all-around phenomenal entertainer and we go to see him any time we have the opportunity!!! Always arrive at the show excited and feel uplifted when leaving!!

What can I say… Tommy is just on another level when it comes to playing an acoustic guitar. A guitar player myself, I took my guitar teacher along… and all night he continued to look at me and just say “WOW….”!! Great player, great show. Hope he comes back soon!

Tommy is an incredible musician and entertainer! Not often can one person display such talent, showmanship and rapport with the audience. The only beef we had was the very chilly temperature in the Hawaii Theater. A beautiful venue but why so cold?

Tommy Emmanuel as a live act has to be seen to be believed! To describe him as a virtuoso doesn't begin to do justice to his showmanship and jaw dropping skills as a guitarist and stage performer. This was an unforgettable experience.

Excellent show. Played 2 sets, almost 2 hours total. Did a few requests as well and a great medley of several Beatles songs with a sing along to Day Tripper and John Lennon’s Imagine. Great show Tommy. Thanks for the memories. Love the Center for the Arts.

FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre was first class - no complaints! Tommy Emmanuel was spellbinding! Never seen anything like this! A must show for any guitar player. Warning - yo may experience an urge to sell your guitars, but don't worry - it will pass - keep practicing!

FINALLY crossed seeing Tommy off my bucket list and it was better than anticipated! That man is a showman!! Tougher to keep an audience entertained as a solo performer with a sparse stage and no backing band, but Tommy NEVER stops! He most definitely is a CGP, as bestowed by Chet Atkins. Any guitar fan needs to see him at least once. The openers were amazing Nashville musicians, Trey Henley and Rob Ickes. Great players. 👍

The show was amazing! Jerry Douglas opened for him, along with bass player Daniel Kimbrough. They played many great songs, including a couple of new ones from Daniel's upcoming album. Jerry has headlined many tours. To have him as a warmup act is a testimony to the greatness of Tommy Emmanuel. His style and technique are flawless. He's also really fun. He sang acapella an old Jerry Reed song. He played a version of "House of the Rising Sun" that brought tears to my eyes. He had some of the most amazing runs up and down the neck of his guitar. He used it as a percussion instrument in a couple of songs. Tommy played over an hour without stopping. Jerry and Daniel came out for a few more at the end of the show. We almost coaxed him out for an encore but he just waved at us. No problem. I'll take Tommy any way that I can. The audience was full of guitar players who swooned at his many incredible runs. I was exhausted from all the cheering and applauding.

I could probably come up with some wording that would attempt to describe what this show was like, but there are no words that are really adequate. From start to finish this show was outstanding. At times it sounded like there were three or four instruments being played, but it was just him and his acoustic guitar. If you have the chance to see him, go!

Tommy is an outstanding performer. His playing is top notch; he knows how to hold the audience captivated for over an hour. His opening act, Richard Smith, was no slouch either. Knowing what I know know, I would’ve bought tickets to both nights.

If I could give the Tommy Emmanuel concert 10 stars, I would! It wasn’t just a concert, it was an experience! There were many highlights, but the one that really touched me was when Tommy played & Anthony Snape sang “Burn For You”. When Tommy introduced it, he said something like “This song goes out to the person who sang it (John Farnham), with all my love.” Tommy’s Melbourne concert was so good, that the earth moved in Melbourne, later that night! I don’t know why I hadn’t seen Tommy a lot sooner & I would definitely see him again, if he did another Australian tour

The band were first class. However the vocals were difficult to pick up. Through the whole show I think I picked up about 2 words. This was poor for the symphony hall, renowned for sound quality,. Nice to see Tommy Emmanuelle back. Hope he comes back to the Town hall, I think this is a better venue for his one man show.

If you never go to another live music event in your lifetime, you must experience Tommy Emmanuel’s prodigious talent and complete mastery of the guitar at least once. The sound this man extracts from six wires and a timber box has to be heard to be believed. Simply unbelievable.

What an enjoyable evening! Both Tommy and Jerry were great entertainers, on top of their skills on the guitar. The venue was awesome for this kind of a concert. I’ve waited three years to see Tommy come back to Portland and the wait was well worth it!

Kruger Brothers were phenomenal Tommy Emmanuel was great. Show would get 5 stars but weather moved in about 30minutes into Tommy Emmanuel's act and it was cut short. Anyone who has not seen the Kruger Brothers is missing a real treat.
