"Usually Nowhere" is the first album of Yakamoto Kotzuga (formally known as Giacomo Mazzucato), a 20 years old talented producer, musician and composer from Venice, Itay. The album includes eleven new tracks born in a small studio from only few guitars and a computer. Eleven possible ways to escape from the real world. A normal and beautiful world but that looks so cruel through the eyes of a twenty years old. Compared to his past works, the sound of Usually Nowhere is dense and granitic. The mixture of percussive syncopations, field recording, and glitch beats are shockingly interwoven with a compelling sequence of complex chords. The result is hypnotic and disturbing. Many contents related to the album, such as the first two upcoming videoclips, have been created by the young creatives from Fabrica, the communication research center of the Benetton Group, which offers talented artists an annual scholarship to develop projects in music, video, design, photography, interaction, and journalism. This new project also inaugurates the collaboration between Giacomo and the Sugarmusic Group (one od the most important independent european publisher, focused on the new trends of electronic and digital music with the aim of exporting Italian talents abroad. It is for that very reason that Yakamoto recently signed an exclusive publishing deal with Sugarmusic, thus enriching its roster with this new amazing project.
