Donell Jones (born May 22, 1973) is an American R&B singer, songwriter, producer, and musician whose unmistakable voice, honest songwriting, and timeless catalog have made him one of the defining voices of R&B.

Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Jones first gained recognition as a songwriter and producer, contributing to records for artists including Usher, 702, Brownstone, and Silk. In 1996, he released his debut album, My Heart, introducing listeners to the smooth vocals, vulnerability, and storytelling that would become signatures of his sound. The album included his celebrated rendition of Stevie Wonder’s “Knocks Me Off My Feet.”

His breakthrough album, Where I Wanna Be, arrived in 1999 and became an R&B classic. The album delivered “U Know What’s Up,” featuring Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes of TLC, the unforgettable title track “Where I Wanna Be,” “Shorty (Got Her Eyes on Me),” and “This Luv.”
