Über Missing Persons

Missing Persons
Missing Persons is an American rock band. The band was founded in 1980 in Los Angeles by guitarist Warren Cuccurullo, vocalist Dale Bozzio, and drummer Terry Bozzio. They later added bassist Patrick O'Hearn and keyboardist Chuck Wild. Dale's quirky voice and heavy makeup made the band a favorite on MTV in the early 1980s.
Dale Bozzio continues to record and tour as she carries on the legacy of Missing Persons.

Missing Persons Brought the '80s Back to Life in DTLA – July 19, 2025
Missing Persons absolutely killed it at Pershing Square this weekend. They opened with “Mental Hopscotch,” and from the first beat, the crowd was on its feet, dancing like it was 1982 all over again. Dale Bozzio sounded amazing—her voice still has that sharp, totally unique tone that made her a new wave icon back in the MTV days.
They played all the hits: “Destination Unknown,” “Words,” “Walking in L.A.,” and “Ain’t None of Your Business,” plus a killer version of The Doors' “Hello, I Love You,” which they originally covered on their 1984 album Rhyme & Reason. The whole set felt super tight and fun, and Dale had great energy throughout—she was clearly having a blast up there.
The weather was perfect—classic SoCal sunshine—and the downtown L.A. backdrop made it feel even more surreal, especially when they launched into “Walking in L.A.” People were singing along, dancing, and just vibing hard. You could feel the love for the band in the air—tons of old-school fans (like me!) and even some younger folks who were clearly discovering the magic for the first time.
It wasn’t just a concert—it felt like stepping into a time machine. Pure new wave nostalgia with just enough edge to still feel totally relevant. Missing Persons still have it. And then some.

The show was awesome! All three bands were great! Especially MP and the Motels! Dale and Martha still sound amazing and still rock! The band of Bow Wow Wow are all excellent musicians as well as the musicians of MP and Motels. The venue was nice and big, though I wish I had paid a little more to have seating since standing for so long did take a toll on my feet, but we still had a great time! Staff was courteous, and the sound was awesome! Great place to see a show!
