Formed in Brisbane around 2004, Kooii has continued to evolve while staying anchored by a dedicated core that has shaped their sound and built a loyal following. The current lineup has been playing together since the post-lockdown period, adapting to new creative directions and the changing geography of its members.
Kooii has performed at major festivals including Byron Bay Bluesfest, Woodford Folk Festival, Island Vibe, Splendour in the Grass, and New Zealand’s Parihaka Festival, and has toured extensively across Australia, New Zealand, and the Philippines.
