Über Alex Peace
Alex Peace has made various contributions to the electronic music industry for over 12 years. His experience in almost every aspect of the industry has given him the resources and the knowledge to perfect his craft and secure his future as a pioneer in the Chicago House Community.
Alex Peace is considered by some to be the leader of the Chicago Hard House movement by Influencing thousands of dancefloors worldwide and producing and remixing countless Hard House anthems (including a #1 record with Donna Blakely). Alex showed his versatility as an Artist, DJ and Producer when went back to his roots as an MC and began to feature his own vocal skills on groundbreaking projects such as "I Dominate Break Loops" and DJ Bam Bam’s "The Hardbeats". On May 9th, 2000, Alex accomplished something most will never do by releasing 3 different 12" titles on 3 different record labels in a single day (“Four20” released on UC MUSIC, “The Trip EP” released on LOGIC RECORDS charting on Billboard’s Hot Dance Breakout’s at #3, and “Turn It Up 2000 Remixes” released on FLASHTRAXX).
Throughout the years, Alex has found himself in the studio with the likes of Ralphi Rosario, Mazi, CZR and Hatiras. His collaborations as well as his own productions have been featured on various mix compilations including: Bad Boy Bill’s “Bangin' the Box Series”, Richard "Humpy" Vision’s ”House Nation”, and Frankie Bones’ “Factory 101”. With his own mix compilations selling more than 100,000 units, there is no doubt that his crowd’s unfaltering connection to his music keeps Alex on top of the game. Most recently, Alex dropped some vocals for Bad Boy Bill on the "Bangin’ The Box 5" mix CD and was the voice behind one of the biggest underground tracks, CZR & Ito's “Bringin’ The Funk” 12” on Subliminal. His most publicized project was his collaboration with Bad Boy Bill as Alex co-wrote, co-produced and performed on the “Everybody” 12” single released on International House Records.
Most would think that Alex’s home is in the studio, however, his passion for his music puts him right at home in front of any size audience. Playing large-scale raves and club venues in cities such as Rotterdam (Holland), Toronto, Hong Kong, Los Angeles and St. Louis. This DJ/MC has the experience of a 10-year veteran and he knows exactly what to do to get the party jumpin’. His skills behind the decks have brought the crowd closer to the tables just to catch a glimpse of his technique. His “live” vocals over his set and his ability to communicate with the crowd on the MIC help bring the masses to "JACK" under one groove, Alex’s groove. .
This summer will see the release of his latest collaborations (Vocals on the “Sneaky Bastard EP” produced by DJ Bam Bam, as well as, "Straight 2 Ya Dome and “Inside the Speaker” with Remixes by Hatiras and DJ Rush). 2002 will also find Alex spreading his groove all over the United States and Canada while touring on the Topaz Tour with DJ Bam Bam and Pleasurehead as well as solo performances supporting his most recent CD project “High Society 2”. Knowing Alex Peace is, without a doubt, THE voice of House Music, Hard House lovers take heed to this message…………… “Prepare to JACK!”
