Root of All began from the desire of Shaun Strong to showcase his songwriting and vocal talents. Strong has been producing and performing music for almost 20 years but he was never the primary songwriter or singer. In 2012, Strong got together with some friends and started what is now Root of All. Together they helped Shaun bring his ideas to the stage and eventually to the studio. Over the years Root of All's line-up has changed a couple times. Currently there is a dynamic Line-up consisting of Several Drummers, Bass players, Guitars and Keys. At the center of it all Shaun is the heart of the Root of All sound.

Root of All has become a premiere live act and has managed to be involved with several music festivals, which is the most fun for all of the band members. In 2015 they performed at Orange Blossom Jamboree, Chillin Music Fest and Irie Vibes Festival. In 2016 they were included on the Mindspring Music Fest, Earthdance Festival, and returned to Irie Vibes for a second year.

They have been direct support for national acts such as Giant Panda Guerrilla Dub Squad, The Movement, Passafire, Fortunate Youth, Yellowman, Pato Banton, The Original Wailers, Makua Rothman, One Drop, Treehouse, Roots of a Rebellion, Sun-Dried Vibes, Tatanka and many more..

Root of All plans to step up their touring in 2017 as well as release an album containing all of their songs to date including re visited versions of their original demo.
