Russian Circles

If a zombie apocalypse were to ever come it would have started by Russian Circles waking the dead @ the Bohemian cemetery. One of the best metal shows I've seen and easily one of the heaviest. They absolutely crushed it. I could have watched another hour. Pelican was great too.

That was amazing! I still remember the day I opened this band for me at the concert. I came just by coincidence. And then we met in 9 years. I couldn't believe it. Your music is like a magnet. You are amazing! Thank you for being part of my life!

Just when I thought Russian Circles couldn't top the previous night's performance in Portland, they delivered an even more masterful and mind-blowing performance. Per usual, they blended intricate riffs with massive soundscapes; each note carefully crafted to smash boundaries. The set was an unforgettable, electrifying, sonic sacrament.

The perfect way to knock stagnant energy out of my chakras on the lunar eclipse. The show was wicked and their light tech is a magician. Pelican killed it as well. I'm a new fan of theirs now too! That really cleared my head. Thanks guys 🖤

I've seen these guys a handful of times now, this show was by far the best. The last time I saw them at the observatory like 5-6 years ago, they were in the small room and they didn't have much of a light show. They were great but not like this time around. Their production has evolved quite a bit, they sound better than ever and the light show was awesome. Such a great show, it's so awesome to see these guys getting better and better.

Rubber gloves has fantastic mixing and was a nicely sized venue with plenty of elbow room for the participants. Pelican and Russian Circles played the strongest songs from their repertoire. Pelican specifically played new unreleased songs that take queues from genres such as Shoegaze, making for a blissful wall of sound style. The sound quality was so good, you could hear the rattle of the drums. Live, these bands have a new edge and force to their songs that cannot be missed. A must-go for anyone enamored with post rock or post metal, or even metal in general.

Amazing show, both bands played very well, lights were well done and the aucostics were good. Venue was also really cool to walk around, they had arcade games you could play. Drinks, at least soda, was cheap with free refills. Overall a great experience, highly recommended

It was alright. I like them, but I realized at this show that I like them best as an opener. They were an awesome mood setter for Chelsea Wolfe, but by themselves, playing for an hour and a half, I got bored.

It was a great show, but so crowded and hard for shorter people if you're unlucky enough to have to stand in the back. However the music and band were great and I look forward to seeing them again!

If you enjoy the music, youll love them live. Its not a concert, its a musical experience. Specifically because they have a continuous melody or note they play between each live song. When youre present, there is only the music and you.

“RUSSIAN CIRCLES” at the Crescent Ballroom last evening was a 90-minute, wall-of-sound filled ecstasy, their 3-man, Post Metal/Post Rock exulting the filled-to-capacity crowd. “REZN” led them into the evening, their Heavy Pysch and vocals only used onomatopoetically which served their music to the fullest. Both Chicago bands were in their element and left the crowd clambering for more, and there definitely IS an advantage in showing up early and getting the best and only spot for venues as this – right in front of the stage, as my photos indicate. Apart from the 'Russian Circles' tour photographer near-constantly pushing in or trickily taking shots over my shoulder, the happily jiving mob behind me were inadvertently crashing into me during half the set. Ear plugs are a pure necessity when standing this close to the music and its useful to briefly remove them occasionally to truly experience their sound. The physical air displacement from the massive speakers is another unmissable dimension.

Incredibly flawless set performed by headliner Russian Circles and REZN set was a great opener and on top of their game as well! Venue was excellent and I’m looking forward to returning next month to see OM. Audience was pleasant and sound was quality.

A great, powerful performance. I loved the guitar loops, the massive bass sound and the well articulated drums that held it all together. Good crowd and just overall a nice vibe. To my taste, a little too noisy though. I couldn't even recognize some of the songs, it just got all smushed together and only the drums stayed clear throughout the show. Maybe that's because I was standing really close to the speaker though.

Good sound engineering, good timing and length, so technically really good, but not a lot of enthusiasm and interaction with the audience. A simple "Hey, it's nice to be here and thank you for coming" would've probably sufficed

Such a good set. Left after the Circles played because I didn’t feel like being lured into the gothic trap that is Chelsea Wolff (no disrespect). Chelsea did come on stage to sing Memorial, which was truly a sight to behold.

We Lost the Sea stole the show with an incredible set. Unfortunately Russian Circles experienced unavoidable complications with their gear and used equipment and instruments from the supporting acts, and while they put on a great show, it was evident that they were struggling - especially to the end of their set.

Best show I’ve been to in a long time. I would have payed 10x the amount to see them. It’s rare to have three people with that level of talent in one band. I will definitely catch them the next time around.

Genial como ellos son. Impresionantes en directo. Muy buen concierto aunque un poco corto. Solo 4 temas. Lo único reprochable sería la sala Lucerna que se agradece su limitado aforo para poder ver a los artistas bien cerca pero que tiene unas columnas que según te sitúes en la sala son muy molestas.
