Über An Aborted Memory

Formed in 2005, An Aborted Memory set out to set the bar with making very abrasive music with all elements of each of their influences. After a short yet memorable run within the local tri state area, including a set on the now infamous Infest in '06, they disbanded. After a nearly three year hiatus, Justin, Steve and Nick decided to pick up where they left off. Through out the winter of 2008, and most of 2009, the three painstakingly crafted some of the best material they have come up with to date. A lot of the songs were heading into the direction of more extreme metal territories, from influences ranging from Suffocation, Deadwater Drowning, Psyopus, and jazz fusion legends Candiria, all the way to The Acacia Strain, and Despised Icon; and the lyrical content became more abrasive and unforgiving. Along the way, they added their newest and final member to the equation, John Sellinger, on bass, thus completing their line up. Shortly after he had entered the band, they gather up a handful of their material and began to record their newest offering to the scene. The four track demo, which was recorded in the summer of to early fall of 2009 instantly began making airwaves and turning head around NJ. Shortly after were a handful of local shows, some in support of national acts such as Molotov Solution, Ion Dissonance, Through the Eyes of the Dead, Arsonists Get All the Girls, and My Bitter End just to name a few. Fast forward to 2012, founding drummer Steve had to leave the band for personal reasons. Senen Solis, a veteran of the NJ extreme metal scene, has stepped in to fill the position. An EP and LOTS more shows can be expected in the near future. It shall be nothing short of painful. AAM 2012 http://anabortedmemory.bandcamp.com
