Samsaya is tearing down walls with her brutally honest music and spiritual worldview. The Indian-born, Norwegian-bred artist raps and sings about difficult emotions, about taking chances, and about finding one´s own path. She mixes electro pop, hip hop and R&B with traditional Indian sounds, creating not only club induced swaggers but also pop tunes that will make one´s heart bleed. Samsaya has had a long and successful career, since she first released her Norwegian Alarm nominated debut album, ”Shedding Skin”, in 2004. After that followed several popular singles, like “ADHD” that won Radio NRJ ‘s most played Norwegian hit of 2010. Some of her songs were also featured in movies, like her tune “Dodge it” in the Oscar-nominated and Golden Globe winning movie “The Wrestler”, and her song “Breaking Bad” in the Norwegian Amanda Award winning documentary “Light Fly, Fly High” about the Indian female boxer Thulasi. The talented artist has opened for Lady Gaga and Kelis, and toured with Lily Allen on the first half of her US tour in 2014. A year later she released her second album, ”Bombay Calling”, produced by Roc Nation-producer Fred Ball. Samsaya runs her own label, 3 millimeter. She named her label after the distance between her front teeth. Her gap, she explains, has become symbolic like her signature drawn heart, of her path to stay true to her senses and unique diversity. “Naina don´t lie” is the first single from her third studio album “Autumn of Saya”. The album is set to be released February 2018. “I want people to feel empowered and strong when they listen to my music.
