Chore

Chore was one of Sonic Unyon Records' heavier acts during the late 90s-early 00s, alongside Shallow North Dakota, Kittens and Tricky Woo. Taking influence from their own favourite post-hardcore bands such as Shudder To Think, Hum, Helmet, Sunny Day Real Estate, and Fugazi, they released 3 records filled with their own experimental takes on the heavier, brainier side of alternative rock. After a hiatus of 15 years, give or take, the core members - David Dunham, Mike and Chris Bell - reconvened as a trio and began writing again.

Once made aware of Chore's resurgence, Sonic Unyon welcomed the band back with open arms which resulted in the release of their 4th full length LP, 'Oswego Park' in September 2025. This older, though not necessarily wiser, Chore sounds like they've still plenty to get off their chest and they do so with the technical precision, musical prowess and robust volume that their fans have continued to come back to see time and time again, after all these years.
