Avante Vocal Jazz was founded in 2011 with the objective of fusing contemporary A Cappella with the art form of vocal jazz. Based in Durham NC, the seven singers of Avante perform a unique repertoire ranging from contemporary choral works to cutting edge jazz with a modern flair. Routinely praised for its high standard of musicianship and unique arrangements, Avante tours the US, appearing in concert, corporate venues and on college campuses.
